Experience a wondrous display of 55 sculptures built by artists from Australia and abroad in the eighth annual Swell Sculpture Festival at Currumbin Beach from the 10 – 19 September 2010.
The free exhibition is open all hours with a selection of sculptures revealing a new verve as they are lit up under the southern sky.
Over 10 days, visitors will experience the sculptures, enjoy twilight sculpture walks, informative artist talks, discover new perspectives at the Public Art Forum, wander through the Swell Smalls Gallery, participate in artist workshops and dine at gourmet cafes and restaurants.
Swell Sculpture Festival inspires, amuses and uplifts and captures the hearts and minds of all who visit.
Usually held around the same time is a short film festival called ’InTheBin‘. In The Bin Film Festival is a festival created by Film Makers to support Film Makers, all films which tour as part of In The Bin are paid screening fee’s per location. In The Bin prides itself on touring to locations other festival don’t offering wider audiences the opportunity to experience this unique source of entertainment.
